The Community Club was organized November 19, 1945. The past years have seen a few changes: membership has grown, assorted events have come and gone, and the people who have stepped up to become officers have changed. But the Anthon Community Club continues to be an active organization that is community supported and run by volunteers who still strive to work together for the betterment of Anthon.
The Community Club continues throughout the year to plan events for everyone. Some of the events they’ve hosted include: Easter Egg Hunt, City Wide Rummage Sales (Spring & Fall), Kid’s Day with McDermott Family Shows, Kid’s Day Kiddie Parade, Kid’s Day Grand Parade, Main Street Christmas, Christmas Carnival, Tour of Homes, Halloween Scavenger Hunt, and Glo Ball Golf.
As long as there is an Anthon, there will always be a need for those who want to be an active part of the Community Club.
