Just received my Alumni Banquet form. Is anyone interested in a little basketball tournament that weekend (June 28th)...especially interested in those from the 79-82 teams??
I think I'm actually getting better as I get older!
Incidentally, just wondering....A.S., did you ever find the owner of that other glove??

Some of you "Golden Oldies" will remember JOHN EITZEN , our music teacher (band and vocal) of the 1950s. I'm not sure what year he first came to Anthon, but I graduated in 1955, and he was still there.
Mr. Eitzen is now living in California, is married to Connie, has two grown sons, Carl and Chris, and two very handsome identical twin grandsons, Matthew and Jacob. In a recent picture I received, Mr. Eitzen (I will never get used to calling him "John") looks exactly the same except that he now has white hair.
Unfortunately, in a recent letter sent out to many of their friends, John is quite ill with interstitial lung fibrosis, a condition that doesn't allow oxygen to pass through the lungs into the blood supply. He is on oxygen 24/7 and uses a wheelchair much of the time.
I think that he would enjoy hearing from any of you who were students of his in the fifties (this especially means you, Bill Fey bringing him up to date on your lives and what you learned from him a half century ago and what it means to you now.
Their address is:
John and Connie Eitzen
2625 Cowley Way
San Diego, CA 92110-1002.

I hope many of you will take a few minutes to send a short note or a letter.
Thanks.

I want to compliment the town of Anthon, on their excellent web site and updated information. It conveys the friendly attitude of your town, which I found so prevalent with the people I worked with this week. I especially want to thank Tony Collins for his knowledgable and gracious help. 2-08.

Until I find a program that has 'spam' protection built in the guestbook, or until someone knows of something better that I can switch over too, or some password protected guestbook they know of and would let me know about, you may continue to add your comments to our guestbook, but they will NOT appear immediately. They come directly into my e-mail and I have to go through all guestbook e-mails and sort out the spam - which are entries with links to porno sites, selling pharmacuticals, and all kinds of other stuff this website is not about. Please be patient. If you don't see your guestbook entry on the website within a month, I ACCIDENTLY missed it when it came through my many daily e-mails. Just send another guestbook entry please. Thanks for visiting and thanks for leaving a message to our web page families.
